Hank Austin Memorial Trophy Presentation...

The Thames Valley Wing Full-bore Target Rifle competition for the Hank Austin Memorial Trophy took place in January 2005, with 2499 being victorious.

Hank Austin was a long serving member of 2211 (Bracknell) Squadron, who progressed through the cadet ranks before becoming an Adult Warrant Officer. Hank and his girlfriend Janine were both lost in a tragic diving accident in 2004. Since then Hank's family have donated a trophy to Thames Valley Wing for presentation to the winning team in the Wing Full-Bore Target Rifle Competition.

Mr John Austin, AWO Austin's father was kind enough to visit 2499 to formally present the trophy to the team in person, an initial presentation having been made on the day.
