The Thames Valley Wing Full-bore Target Rifle competition for the Hank Austin Memorial Trophy 2006 took place in January 2007.
Hank Austin was a long serving member of 2211 (Bracknell) Squadron, who progressed through the cadet ranks before becoming an Adult Warrant Officer.
Hank and his girlfriend Janine were both lost in a tragic diving accident in 2004.
Since then Hank's family have donated a trophy to Thames Valley Wing for presentation to the winning team in the Wing Full-Bore Target Rifle Competition.
Unfortunately 2499 didn't win the competition this time round, 211 (Newbury) Squadron were the victors.
