The first step will be to attend one of our induction nights. This will introduce you to the Squadron, let you have a look round and get to see what we actually do.
After this you will start your training with the Recruit Training Flight or RTF. More details can be found on the RTF Page.
We expect quite a commitment from you, we parade twice a week and we expect you to normally turn out both nights. Sometimes you won't be able to, but we expect you to let us know by telephone, email or in person when you will not be attending.
Parents can note that the expectation is for your son or daughter to do the work for their ATC activities; they are responsible for finding out when and where the activities are. This responsibility is part of their training.
Our next Induction Night for No32 Intake is on Wednesday 9th May 2012, starting at 1930hrs and finishing at 2130hrs.
We have a maximum of 12 new recruits per intake so let us know you're interested; send us an email or call the Sqn and leave a message, giving your name and age and your contact details.
You need to be 13 to join the ATC.
You are welcome to visit for a look around, however your first training night will be one of our pre-arranged Induction Nights. These are usually the first Monday or Wednesday of the month.
The squadron parades every Monday and Wednesday between 7:00pm and 9:30pm.
Although we usually parade at our Squadron Headquarters (SHQ) we do spend some evenings each month engaged in training at sites in and around Wokingham.
To be sure of finding us it is best to email or telephone before coming down for a first visit.
