2011's Annual Flips night and closing event of the year had a twist!
Accompanying the usual stuffing of faces with assorted oily fast food and NCO organied games, we had a visit fro ex-CWO Race who deemed it entertaining to add her own games to the mix.
As well as this both flights were instructed to show to the staff a song and a sketch with... shall we say amusing consequences. Tracks from the flights included a rendition of 'Reach for the Stars' by A flight and 'Eye of the Tiger' by the B flight JNCOs complete with "dancing" by Cpl Dekker.
Another happy twist to the night was that the money raised from the squadron's bag packing in local supermarkets, meant that the civilian commitee opted to have the food payed for without the cadets' parents emptying their pockets.
Remembrance parade was great day for thinking of those who fought for our freedom... it also provided a great oppurtunity to show off our drill superiority even with the ever wavering paces of the rest of the parade.
We were once again the biggest cadet contingency on parade and we marched through town from the Town Hall all the way to All Saints church where the service was lovely and thought provoking. We then marched all the way back to the Town Hall making sure to pay our respects to the memorial poppy displays and dropped the Mayor off to have a spot of tea.
